A word on earth pigments
Earth pigments and the materials I use in my work are inherently stable, and I make my work with longevity in mind. I have sealed each piece with an archival grade sealant.
Sustainability and permissions.
When collecting earth pigments and natural material, I do so in consultation with my first nations friends who generously advise me on what is ok and what is not when it comes to taking from country. In all I do, I aim to do no harm, look for a lower impact option, collect windfall/prunings/and use urban waste or recycle. I’m always happy to discuss this aspect of my work, as it is so nuanced, and I am always happy to learn more and do better.
